Bali, a Complete Landscape Tour In 3 Days

12 10 2013

I’m pretty sure most of us – especially Asian- have already gone to Bali, Indonesia, at least once. But did you realize that Bali has a perfect landscape that you can explore in just 3 days? Check this out.

Day 1

1.Rice Fields

Where is the best rice fields in Bali? Yes, it’s in Ubud, for sure! Ubud is very famous for its astonishing terraced rice fields, cultural village and Balinese handicrafts. Visit Ubud early morning to prevent traffic jam on your way up here. The rice fields lie along the way to Ubud village. Do not hesitate to stop by and take some pictures while breathing fresh air in Ubud. It takes about 1 hour from Denpasar to Ubud by car.

2. Mountain

Kintamani is the best place to explore mountain scenery in Bali. It has a beautiful lake, where you can dine, play and also stay for one night. The weather here makes you totally forget that you are in Bali. If you wanna experience Bali off the beaten path, then staying in Kintamani is the answer. Just go straight ahead towards the mountain from Ubud to come here. Just drive about 2 more hours from Ubud, then you’ll reach this haven.

Day 2

3. Silky sandy beach

Why do you go to Bali? Of course mostly because of its beautiful beaches. If you’re looking for Bali’s best silky sandy beach, then the beaches along Kuta – Legian is a must in your to-do-list. It’s not so crowded here in the morning, for the peak-hour for tourists usually in the afternoon right before sunset, where most travel photographers would come to capture the sunset.

4. Underwater

Wanna go underwater? The best diving spot in Bali (in my opinion 😀 ) actually is in Amed, but it takes about 2 hours driving from Kuta. So for a short getaway, I’d prefer Benoa which only takes about 15 minutes from Kuta. Here you can do some water sports as well as dive deep in the ocean for 1 hour, and feel the sensation of underwater life! Sorry I don’t have any underwater camera, so there are no pictures here. LOL 🙂

Peeking sunset at Padang Padang Beach

5. Cliff beach

Another type of beach in Bali is cliff beach. After lunch, drive towards southwest (southern Kuta) from Benoa to visit some rocky beaches with great cliff such as Balangan Beach and Padang Padang Beach. These free-entry beaches is totally worth for your afternoon trip. The place is not as crowded as Tanah Lot, so you can have some rest peacefully here. These beaches are near to Pecatu area, and just as beautiful as a Bali beach can be. Stay here until sunset and see the sunset from a different perspective!

(Thanks to my dear @sigitprianto for the sunset pic!)

Day 3

Uluwatu6. Hillside

The next day, before you hit the airport for your afternoon flight back home, you can go to Uluwatu where you can have both hill and cliff landscape, or you can just visit Garuda Wisnu Kencana, a cultural theme park in Southern Kuta and enjoy the beautiful hill scenery while having lunch or simply by having a cup of coffee at the restaurant inside.

Have a great adventure in Bali! 😉
